Ground Rules

1. Guests must pay for site and/or day use fees within 30 minutes of arrival.

2. Arrivals and Departures: Check-In Time: 12:00pm, Check-Out Time: 11:00am

3. Overnight stays are designed for two (2) adults and children under the age of 18.There is a $5 fee for each additional adult. 

4. Vehicles and ATVs are to be parked in designated site gravel area or overflow parking. Please do not park on the grass. Do not park vehicles/ATVs blocking the entrance/exit or other sites. Each site allows one vehicle, that is included in the cost of the rental. Each site can occupy a maximum of two vehicles, $10 for the second vehicle. There is also an overflow parking area, $10 per additional vehicle.

5. The speed limit is 5 MPH for all vehicles, including ATVs. No motor revving. 

6. Respect other campers’ space. This includes being mindful of your kids/pets. Please be courteous and friendly to one another.

7. Please keep your site clean. Do not leave trash or food out, use the onsite dumpster. 

8. Respect the quiet hours, 11:00pm-6:00am. No loud voices/yelling, generators, or music during the quiet hours. 

9. Respect nature. This includes wildlife and landscaping. Cutting trees and vegetation is prohibited.

10. Pets are welcome, they must be on a leash at all times. Do not leave pets unattended. Use the Pet Area to take your dog potty and clean up after them.

11. Fires in designated fire rings only. Our campground complies with Kenai Peninsula open campfire rules.

12. Fish cleaning is allowed in the designated area only. Bag fish carcasses before placing it into the dumpster.

13. Discharge of firearms, explosives, or fireworks are prohibited.

14. Have fun but know your limits. Please don’t drink and drive; or put yourself/others in an unsafe situation/danger. 

15. Make great memories and enjoy your stay!

By reserving, entering, or staying at Birchwood Campground, you (“Guest”) agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk
Guest understands that camping and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated. These risks include, but are not limited to: campfires, uneven terrain, slips, trips, and falls, falling trees or branches, wildlife encounters, insects, weather conditions, water hazards, use of recreational vehicles (RVs), ATVs, bicycles, and other equipment.
Guest voluntarily assumes all risks of injury, illness, death, or property damage arising from these activities.

2. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Alaska law, Guest releases and holds harmless Birchwood Campground, LLC, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action for injury, death, or property damage arising out of or related to Guest’s stay, except to the extent caused by the Campground’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.

3. Indemnification
Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Birchwood Campground, LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from Guest’s actions, negligence, or violation of campground rules.

4. Responsibility for Personal Property
The Campground is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, including vehicles, RVs, or valuables.

5. Compliance with Rules
Guest agrees to read and follow all posted campground rules and instructions. Failure to comply may result in removal from the property without refund.

6. Right to Refuse Service
The Campground reserves the right to refuse service or remove any Guest for safety concerns, rule violations, or disruptive behavior.

7. Abandoned Property
Vehicles, RVs, or personal property left without permission may be removed at the owner’s expense.

8. Acknowledgment and Agreement
By booking, checking in, or remaining on the property, Guest acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to this Waiver and Assumption of Risk.
